Pauline Macaulay

I have been quiltmaking since the late 1970s and am interested in the social history of patchwork and quilting. I initiated and chaired the Talking Quilts:Saving Quilters' Stories oral history project which was funded by Heritage Lottery Fund for three years 2014-2017. More recently I researched the quilt 'revival' in the 1970s in Britain and published an article in The Quilter (2019) and a paper in the British Quilt Study Group Issue 20 in 2019. I was made an honorary members by The Quilters' Guild in 2017. I Still enjoyg quiltmaking.

I give talks on Bangladeshi Kantha and Kinship and on the 1970s quilt 'revival' in Britain.
