Jill Holden

I currently chair Tove Quilters and Stitchers, based in Towcester, Northants. We meet weekly and support a wide range of stitch crafts. I have only been quilting for around 8 years, and first became interested because I wanted to make a cot quilt for a colleague's baby. First I had to buy a machine and learn to use it, but I'm not deterred by a challenge.
I am a traditionalist by nature and tend to like strong, geometric patterns. I can appreciate irregular, but find random much more challenging!
I began by being solely wedded to machine piecing and quilting, but have recently begun some English Paper Piecing, hand applique and hand stitching, which to my surprise I absolutely love and have found to be truly addictive.
