 This exhibition of artwork in cloth, tile and clay is inspired by the Abbey which is one of England's earliest, most important and most fascinating abbeys, providing sanctuary, tranquillity, history and heritage in one special place.

Alicia Merrett is a renowned contemporary quilt artist from Wells, Somerset and the other artists, who work in tile and clay, are Kate Rattray and Hiro TakahashiHiro Takahashi

King Arthur's Cross #1 is an interpretation in cloth of a leaden cross purportedly found in the tomb of King Arthur, discovered in Glastonbury Abbey grounds by the monks in the 1200s. Now lost. The Latin inscription says: Here lies buried the renowned King Arthur in the Isle of Avalon.
